Overview
Artwork and OOH campaign materials for Beethoven 250 — the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s season-long celebration to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
This depiction is based on the famous portrait of Ludwig van Beethoven created by Joseph Karl Stieler in 1820. Creating a new take on a familiar image to serve as a testament to Beethoven's legacy and to music as a transcendent force.
This signage appeared throughout the city and inside of O’Hare airport. They also hung around much longer than anyone was anticipating, due to the onset of the pandemic midseason.
